Terms and Conditions
Roaming Quest only sells team tickets. It is one set price no matter the number of participants from 1-8 people. The maximum team size is 8 people, aged 5 years old and above. If more of you want to quest then please purchase another team ticket. You can compete against each other, or go round together (we'll leave that up to you) but if you turn up with more people than you have tickets for then you may not be allowed to quest. We understand sometimes it is not possible to leave very small children, or find childcare, so there is no charge for children under 5 years old and buggies and prams are allowed to be brought along. Children under 5 years old are also not included in the team numbers.

Team names must not contain obscenities or offensive words/terms. If we deem a team name to be inappropriate we will ask you to choose a new one, alternatively we will default to the name on the booking.

You MUST include a mobile phone number when you purchase your ticket. This is how we will send you your first clue when the event starts and also how you will be able to ask us for hints throughout your quest. You MUST take this mobile phone with you on the day of the quest in order to be able to play. Roaming Quest accepts no responsibility relating to an inability to take part in or complete the quest due to issues arising from your mobile phone, it's connectivity, if you forget to take it, or in the instance that you should provide us with an incorrect mobile phone number.

Our quests take place completely outdoors and will go ahead whatever the weather, unless we determine it to be a safety risk. So please come dressed for the weather and bring umbrellas to keep yourselves and your clues dry as you read them. Unless we cancel the event/quest, please assume it is going ahead.

Refunds can be requested via Eventbrite up to 7 days before the day of the event/quest. Any requests made after that date will be solely at the the discretion of Roaming Quest and they are under no obligation to issue refunds within the 7 days leading up to the event/quest. Should Roaming Quest cancel an event/quest then all participants will be refunded via Eventbrite as per the refund terms and conditions of the Eventbrite booking platform.
All quests will require you to walk around to find your clues and locations so be prepared to walk throughout the 2 hours of the quest's time limit. By purchasing a ticket to participate in a quest you acknowledge and accept this, and declare that you are fit and able to take part. Roaming Quest accepts no responsibility for any injury, illness or any impact to health that participants may sustain during their participation.

All of our clues and the locations you need to get to will be wheelchair accessible. However as your team will determine their own routes to and from these locations we cannot guarantee that all routes in the area will be.
This is a self-supervised event where you will choose your routes and be responsible for your own safety, and the safety of those in your care, while navigating the area. Please pay attention to traffic and what is happening around you. Roaming Quest accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property, loss of life, nor any injuries sustained while participating in a quest.

Quests, their subject matters, and their difficulties, are designed for adults and families with older children. You will be allowed a maximum of 3 hints during each quest, so use them wisely. If you do not complete the quest within the 2 hour time limit the game is still over. Tickets are purchased to participate in the quest and participants have no entitlement to complete the full quest line once the 2 hour time limit is reached. There are no prizes awarded for completing a quest, just a place on our leaderboard should your completion time place you in the top 10 fastest times for that particular quest.

Any abusive or violent behaviour against Roaming Quest, it's actors or quest/event facilitators, or member of the public while you participate in our quests/events, will not be tolerated and will result in refusal of your participation in any future quests or events hosted by Roaming Quest. You will also not be allowed to continue on an active quest/event should you be participating in one when the incident happens, and should this be the case no refunds will be given to those involved. Legal action or help from the police will be sought if necessary.
